1. Barrie Families Unite

  • Location: 49 Truman Road, overhead door #31 - nearest intersection is Huronia and Big Bay Point Road (SE Barrie). As you enter the parking lot, turn to the left and go around the back of the warehouse, just past the Flying Monkey trucks. Look for their sign and enter through the blue door N8.

  • Items Accepted: Clothing and footwear, most kitchen items up to the size of a microwave, towels and bedding.

  • Benefits: Provides crisis kits and essential items to families in need throughout the Barrie area. Everything that is donated is gifted back out in to the community for families needing help especially those starting over. We work closely with agencies that assist families to fill the gaps at no cost. We also deliver to those that need it.

2. Value Village

  • Location: 165 Wellington Street West and 42 Caplan Avenue, Barrie

  • Benefits: Convenient drop-offs, keeps items out of landfill, and supports local nonprofit partners.

3. Habitat for Humanity Huronia ReStore

In many cases, pickup service is provided for large items like used furniture.  Best of all, proceeds from the sale of these donated goods help families build a foundation for the future.

Diabetes Canada

For nearly four decades, Diabetes Canada has been to give gently used clothing and household items a second life, while making a powerful impact in communities across Canada. Each year, the program diverts more than 100 million lbs. of clothing and household items from landfill sites across Canada. This translates into savings of 1 billion kWh of energy - Equivalent to removing 212,087 cars from roads - Saves 7,257.44 mature trees- Conserves 167,828.30 liters of water - and reduces our carbon footprint by 280 million pounds of CO2

Furniture Bank

Furniture Bank will accept most items as long as they are non-hazardous and can be safely lifted by our crew. Items that can’t be re-homed will be recycled or donated, ensuring environmental responsibility.
